From the Market Place, turn right down Kirkgate between Six Poor Folk bar and Appleton's butchers and continue down to Knaresborough's Victorian railway station. Cross over or under the tracks to reach the town's historic parish church.

St John's Christmas Tree Festival (2 - 22 December 2024)
Witness the magic of over 70 hand decorated themed trees in the stunning setting of St John's Parish church.
Every year more than 70 Christmas trees decorated by local groups and businesses, are displayed in the beautiful St. Johns Church in the heart of Knaresborough.
Admission to the festival is free, but there will be the opportunity to donate to the church and the event's chosen charity for this year. At busy times and for your safety, you may be asked to wait outside the building.
Opening times:
Saturday 10am - 5pm
Sunday 12pm - 4pm
(Monday - Fridays 12 - 5pm)
Refreshments:
Mulled wine and refreshments will be served in the church and The HUB opposite. There is also a raffle, with tickets available from the stewards.

Visiting the Knaresborough Christmas Tree Festival: from the market square either turn right down Kirkgate in front of Six Poor Folk, or walk down the High Street to visit the shops and cafes on your way. Take the road out of the Market Place down the side of Boots onto the High Street, turn left and then left again by Wetherspoons and the post box. Turn right at the end of the road and this will take you back onto Kirkgate and down to the train station and St John's Church.
